Uttoxeter’s Adam Peaty not only gained a Gold medal in the men’s 100m breast stroke final at the Olympic Games in Rio, the first Gold medal for Team GB, he also smashed his own world record twice in two days in an incredible time of 57:13.
Uttoxeter Town Council is extremely proud of Adam and has always been a huge supporter of his achievements over the years. Â Following his amazing successes to date and after discussions with Adam’s family Uttoxeter Town Council is proud to announce the following:
The ‘Adam Peaty Book of Pride’ is now available within the foyer at Uttoxeter Town Hall. On behalf of the Town Council and Adam’s family, you are cordially invited to write your messages of congratulations to Adam.
The Book of Pride shall be leather bound and presented to Adam in due course.
The Town Hall is open to the public 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday and on Saturday, 27 August from 10 am – 2 pm.
The Book of Pride will remain open until 5 pm on Wednesday, 14 September 2016.
Uttoxeter Town Council together with Adam and his family shall announce Adam’s homecoming celebrations in due course, following Adam’s return from Rio, both on the Town Council’s website and the Town Hall Entertainments Facebook page via the following link:
