Welcome to the website of Uttoxeter Town Council, which aims to keep people informed about the services of the Town Council, as well as promoting town events and activities.Could it please be noted that the Council does not accept other links on this site from unstatutory bodies.

The traditional market town of Uttoxeter, which has a population of around 14,000, is situated within the Borough of East Staffordshire.

Uttoxeter holds an indoor Craft and Produce market once a month on a Saturday within the Town Hall. The next market will take place on Saturday, 24 October 2020 10.00am – 4.00pm. Please remember you will need to wear a face covering, stick to the rule of 6 and sanitise your hands at the cleaning station provided.ÂÂ In-line with Government guidelines, the front doors of the Town Hall remain closed and we are operating a one way system, entering through the first door on the left as you go under the archway of Carter’s Square and exiting through the second door. Queuing, should it be required, will be located opposite the entrance door, clearly marked with floor tape. Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep the indoor market safe for you all to enjoy.ÂÂ We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday!

The weekly outdoor markets are held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday within the Market Place.

Due to the current pandemic, only pre-booked stalls will be accommodated on the Council run outdoor and indoor markets for the foreseeable future.ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ Please note that it may not be possible to accommodate all traders while social distancing measures are still in place.

Uttoxeter Town Council is made up of sixteen Councillors who are elected to office every four years. Uttoxeter Town Mayor who is appointed annually for a twelve month term, is currently Councillor Sue McGarry with Councillor Carolyn Green appointed as Deputy Mayor.ÂÂÂÂÂÂ Council Resolved at its meeting held on 14 July 2020, due to the current pandemic, that Councillors Sue McGarry and Carolyn Green remain in post until May 2021.
